New Build Project: Beautiful Oak Staircase

One of our most recent projects is a new build home in Lymington. We’re well on the way to finishing the job now, and this oak staircase was one of the last pieces of the puzzle.

The customers knew exactly what they wanted from the start, which always makes things easier. We were really pleased to be involved in bringing their idea to life.

Materials Used

We combined two different types of timber to manufacture this staircase. We used American White Oak, which is commonly used for our staircases as it has a beautiful grain and is very strong and durable.

The second timber that we used was Tulipwood, a trusted hardwood known for its interior joinery. We feel the combination of these two timbers (which we rarely do combine) has really made this staircase standout.

We installed black metal spindles, as requested by our customer, to complete the look and make this staircase perfect.

Collaboration

Similar to the entire project, we worked very closely and kept in regular contact regarding the staircase. We combine ideas and come up with the best solutions every step of the way. Every detail, from the design to the finish, was considered carefully. It’s this kind of collaboration that ensures the final result isn’t just functional, but something that truly fits the space and the client’s vision.

Conclusion

Everyone involved feels this staircase has really gone beyond what we expected. It’s beautiful and already makes this new build feel more like a home. This is definitely one of our favourite recent projects.
