At Applewood Joinery, garage doors <\/strong>are a much loved favourite. They are something a lot of our customers request and it is easy to see why. Versatile and stylish they are perfect for what they do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Different Timbers<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We use various timbers when it comes to manufacturing garage door<\/strong>s, these are selected by working with our customer to decide the best timber for their needs. We can use most timbers on request including, Sapele, Douglas Fir, Oak and Iroko. On the odd occasion we do use softwood for garage doors <\/strong>but we feel that hardwoods are much better for longevity and provide a more satisfying finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bespoke Garage Door Designs<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our garage doors<\/strong> are made to look good and stay strong. We usually use a Tongue and Groove design on the front, which gives the door a neat, stylish look. This design also helps keep the door solid and long-lasting. It\u2019s a simple but smart way to make sure the door looks great and works well for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can create a variety of bespoke designs when it comes to garage doors, but the two most popular styles our customers request are side-hinged<\/strong> and up-and-over<\/strong> garage doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hinged garage doors<\/strong> operate much like standard doors, opening outwards on traditional or \u2018T\u2019-style hinges to allow smooth, easy access. They\u2019re a classic choice that suit traditional homes very well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Up-and-over garage doors<\/strong> lift open in one smooth movement and tuck neatly inside the garage. They\u2019re easy to use, save space, and suit all kinds of homes. They can also be fitted with an electric motor for added convenience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Versatile Finishes<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

There are a multitude of colours and finishes that work wonderfully with garage doors<\/strong>. Whether its a satin emerald green, standard white or a stained finish, they all fit perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also offer advice on protective coatings and treatments, to ensure that your garage doors last for a long period of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
