Factual

Botanically known as ‘Fagus Sylvatica’, Beech is widespread throughout Central and Western Europe.

Visibly, the colour ranges between pale cream and pink to a reddish brown. Beech is typically straight grained, with a fine smooth texture, though it differs in density according to growth locality.

Usage

We enjoy working with Beech. It machines, glues, finishes, and turns well, responding excellently to steam-bending.

You will find that we use Beech primarily for internal joinery products including furniture and cabinetry.

Customer Advice

Ordinarily, we would expect to see a large amount of movement in service and we often take the stability of Beech into account when manufacturing. Our friendly and professional team of experts are happy to discuss if Beech is suitable for your joinery requirements.
